James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 Plain and simple: don't give up. If you're going through something tough, you're learning from the experience. Trust in God because he will bring you to where you need to be. At times, it may be unclear when God wants you to change your path or continue on it, but continue to pray and trust in Him. Everything you do should be for God. In the end, everything will be ok. God bless.

We tried something new for this post: taking pictures right before the sun set. In doing so, we found out that it's just not our thing. Jenny's editing style fits the more shadowed looks versus the lit up ones. It could also be that we just need to shoot with new and improved lenses...which we'll get soon enough. It could ALLLSOOO be that we need more practice shooting in this kind of lighting. Our point is that you'll never know what could work if you never try. Don't write something or someone off just because it's not your way of doing things. Have an open mind and a great Saturday. God bless. This post totally made us think of phases each person can go through in their lifetime. When Jenny was in middle school, she had this ridiculous obsession with Batman & Christian Bale (he's still gorgeous). It was nuts. The crop top she's wearing was actually a shirt that she cut up a while ago. This is also the first post that Jenny is wearing her glasses in! Contacts can be tiring wearing them every single day so there's that. Pablo was a kid that had one of those punky/tight pants/long hair phases. By long hair, we mean shoulder length...if not longer. In fact, when Jenny saw him in school like 5 years ago, she swore she'd never date him or anyone with that look (biased & judgemental, right?). Well, look what God did. The big guy upstairs definitely has a sense of humor. We hope you guys enjoy this post as much as we do! Have a fantastic Friday. God bless. *Pablo's blazer is navy blue, not black. We realize that everyone needs some encouragement every now and then. Today, we wanted to talk about being the best you possibly can. It is definitely hard to give it all you've got when you don't like what you're doing. Stress and discouragement can come from jobs, school, and/or relationships. All of that frustration can make the choice of giving up look really good. We're here to tell you to keep going. You'll get through it. Sometimes you need to push through the difficult obstacles in order to be exactly where you want to be in life. Don't worry, stay positive, pray about it, work hard and you'll succeed. God bless. Sup guys. These titles are terrible. I promise that we're trying hahaha. Today we wanted to do a sporty look so HERE IT IS! It's really cool when you can bring some style and fashion to sporty looks. The same goes for when you're taking on a lazy look. The awesome thing about lazy looks is that they're totally in right now, so go for the messy hair and jogger pants. Alright, Pablo loves his European looking shorts, which are shorter than most work out shorts (and more stylish). Jenny loves her top. It's really the coolest thing ever. The top is like a sweat-proof, hooded piece of neon goodness. She purchased it at the same time she purchased her neon wedges...which was most definitely an impulse buy. Have a great Wednesday guys. By the way, If you haven't listened to the songs under our "Currently Jamming..." section, you gotta get on that! God bless. Hey guys! We really loved this location. It might have been private property though...not sure. Anyway, lavender is a really nice color on Pablo's skin. Brighter colors always look good when you're tan. Jenny doesn't have to worry about that because she rarely wears bright colors. Today her color palette is all neutrals with a little bit of light pink in there. On a side note, Steve Madden wedges are amazing. They may be expensive, but they're worth it because they last a long time and they're made really well. Thanks for all of your views. Can't wait to tell you guys the statistics as soon as we hit our two month anniversary. We've come so far in such a small amount of time and we're so grateful. God bless. It was Jenny's first day at her new college as well. Today's post features a lot of dark and dismal colors, which happen to be our favorite kind of colors. All those blacks, greys, dark blues...they just have all of our love. Pablo is looking mighty classy in his blazer. The little pin he's wearing is an Ireland pin. Represent. Jenny's look is pretty simple: a blouse and jeans with some black accents here and there. We'll get more fancy with the layering when Fall approaches...which will be soon. ALSO: Jenny has been listening to A LOT of different music recently so get in on some of that under our "Currently jamming..." section. If you'd like to share this post or any of our other posts, there's an option at the bottom to tweet it or post it on Facebook. Feel free to do so. We love you guys! Here it is! Our second monthly feature! We picked this girl not only because of her style, but because of how sweet and caring she is. We both grew up with her because she attended the same school district as us, but only recently did we get the chance to really hang out and talk to her. Grace is super crafty and actually crocheted her shirt as well as her high waisted shorts. She's also really cute with a great sense of humor (not to mention she's athletic AND can sing). We are so blessed that Grace could support us on our blog and we'll support her in anything that she does in the future. Find out more about her in the Q & A below. Grace Horn Q: Who do you look up to? A: I look up to my cousin Rebecca who is currently living in Florida (but had lived in Iowa). Growing up, I was always looking up to her: her clothes, athletic ability, just everything in general. She was Miss Iowa and now she is an elementary school teacher. She even continues to help her mom out on the farm she grew up on. Q: Who influenced your style? A: I don't think any one person influenced my style. If I see someone with an outfit I like, I'll make my own version of it. Sometimes I see things on pinterest too. What I wear also depends on the setting...like a for a family picnic I might wear khakis and stripes. I have a very versatile style. I could be a rocker chick one day and a boho girl the next. Q: What do you do for work? A: I work at a summer camp with 5 year olds. I'll also be a fitness instructor at Penn State University. Q: What are your hobbies? A: I love making cards, crocheting, and working out. Health and wellness is definitely a priority of mine. Q: What are your goals? A: Honestly, I really want to be a singer. But for now my goal is to graduate from Penn State, become an elementary school teacher, and also be a really awesome fitness instructor that can change peoples' mindsets about their health. Q: What's your nationality? A: My dad is Italian and my mom is Dutch. Both of my parents are German too. Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? A: In 10 years I'd like to be a local elementary teacher who is married with two kids (hopefully 2 boys). Q: Why do you dress the way that you do? A: I dress the way that I do because my style has matured. I also dress the way I do depending on how I feel that day. A lot of things have influenced and matured my style including my amazing boyfriend Jesse. I go through stages though, for sure. Q: Why do you get up in the morning? What drives you? A: I have extreme anxiety about being late so I get up pretty early. Plus the morning is my favorite part of the day because of breakfast. Specifically banana bread oatmeal... Q: If someone gave you the power to save one species on Earth, what would it be and why? A: So this little boy at camp caught a praying mantis in a cup for the counselors, but they made him set it free. I learned that praying mantises are actually very helpful and beneficial. They eat all of the bad insects in your home and garden, so I'd save that species. Today's post is about being humble: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. Philippians 2:3 Humility is something that we all need to work on and honestly, it can be tough.
Here's a good way to start : next time you do something nice for someone, whether it be a family member, friend, or stranger, keep yourself anonymous. Don't tell anyone just to receive gratitude and praise. Do the good deed because you want to and because you value what you're doing. And when someone compliments you on a talent or gift, always recognize that the gifts given to you are from God. Thank Him. Just be aware of your life and the blessings in it. Try and bless someone else's life the way you have been blessed. God bless.Where has the summer gone? School is starting up for a lot of people in the next few days. Good luck to non-students and students alike. Right now, we're here to tell you that this blog will continue to be active, despite the fact that we both may have even crazier schedules. We're very dedicated and we want you guys to continue growing with us. We are also very excited for Autumn posts as well as OUR MONTHLY FEATURE THIS SUNDAY. Please, if you don't check out any other posts except for the monthly feature, that's alright. The person that is being featured is absolutely amazing and stylish. So stay tuned for the monthly feature as well as some other things we've got up our sleeve in the near future. God bless.
