People always stare at us when we're taking pictures. It doesn't matter where we are....unless we're somewhere remote, that is. This shoot was the funniest shoot we've done yet because we had some high schoolers passing by who said the funniest things. They were like "Hey...can we photobomb the hell out of this picture...", so how could we not let them? They were extremely cool and encouraged us to post it. So we did. It's amazing. We need more people like them in the world: so real and happy to be living. We encourage our local followers to holler at us whenever you pass by during a shoot. We also encourage you to share our posts on Twitter and Facebook (there's an option under the post). Thanks for the support guys! God bless. Funny story: So we were taking pictures in this empty parking lot and a random woman decided to drive up and park her van close by. She got out, started walking toward us, and said "Do you mind if I give you some advice?" (notice the fact that we used 'said' instead of 'asked'). We didn't even get to respond before she was already in the middle of us, trying to tilt and shift the way Jenny was posing for the picture. She actually picked up Jenny's foot and angled it, and had Jenny put her hand on her hip as the final touch. This woman said she had been in the modeling business for years and had ran her own business as well. After she finished saying that the way Jenny was posing would be the most flattering for the photograph, she left and we said 'thanks'. At the end of the day, this woman taught us three very valuable lessons: 1) To keep an open mind and accept advice even when you don't ask for it 2) To never pose the way she posed Jenny ever again. It was the most unflattering and unnatural looking pose we've seen in a long time. So awkward. 3) Always consider the fact that not everyone wants to do what you did and not everything may pertain to what you have done (when you're giving advice, that is.) In this case, we are an original fashion blog, not a model agency. Jenny is no pageant queen. She's willing to try new things, but that girly hand on the hip/cutesy leg twist is not her look, nor will it ever be. Other girls can pull it off, but it's not her style and she's not going to pretend it is. We're not sure if you guys think that we intentionally pick our outfits to fit together, because we totally don't. It's definitely sheer happenstance. Surprises are great. Anyway, maroon is such a cool color. It's just so classy and perfect for Fall. Pablo is sporting a vintage raincoat, while Jenny is wearing her skinny maroon Calvin Klein pants. The detail of the zipper at the bottom of her pants was such a good idea. Well done, Calvin, well done. Can't stress enough that we're doing a ton of research on how to get you guys involved, so keep being as supportive as you've been...because there's a good chance you're going to get some cool free stuff in the future. Thanks guys! God bless. So we have a great deal of fun running this blog, but we realize that it could be a lot more fun if you guys were involved in it a little bit more. We have been crazy busy (never heard that one before, we know), but we're trying to think up more activities that can help you guys get involved. We're talking free giveaways, contests, polls, etc. So while we work on this, just be aware that we really love you guys and want to make you all happy. Hope you enjoy this outfit post! God Bless. Pablo is 100% ready for this cold weather. Jenny, on the other hand, is not that excited for it. She loves how beautiful this Fall season is, but she's always cold anyway, so the fact that she's going to be even more cold isn't exactly super fantastic. But AYYY there will be awesome photos with the scenery so that's great. Today's outfit post is very relaxed. Pablo was in Ohio on business for the whole weekend so taking these was a little difficult. Here you go, though. Time to break out the sweaters and fancy joggers. Love you guys! God bless. BTW: Ariana Grande's new album is fantastic? Never listened to her before. Check out our current favorite song off of it under our "Currently Jamming..." section. We're kind of obsessed... Someone that annoys you for whatever reason. Maybe even someone who has hurt you beyond repair. We're going to tell you to love that person. It's so difficult, isn't it? It's easy to love people that love you back, but what about the ones who don't? Instead of ignoring them, gossiping about them, etc. just be the bigger person and realize that every human wants to be loved. Remember love is comprised of many different aspects: patience, kindness, humility and so many more. So when we say 'love', we're not saying you have to hug and kiss the people you can't stand. We're saying to treat them the same way you would want to be treated, even if they don't respect you. Just shed some light on this world and love the people who are tough to love because we guarantee that they need it. You need it too. God bless.
We firmly believe success comes from never being satisfied with your current situation. Always be thankful for what you have and how far you've come, but always strive to continue growing. Whether it be in photography, music, drawing, researching, etc., there's always something to get better at. Acknowledge your accomplishments, and then move on to your next goal. God gave you talents and gifts for a reason, so master them and use them to their full potential. Have a wonderful Saturday. God bless. Recently we've been complimented a lot on our photography (which means the world, THANKS GUYS!). Some people have even asked us how we take our photos, so we're going to give a few quick tips that will hopefully help you guys out. To clarify right now: we are, by no means, professionals. We also have the bare minimum of equipment (which we plan on upgrading soon enough). Anyway, here are some tips: 1) Camera Body & Lens: It doesn't matter what camera body you have, it's all in the lens. You could have a crappy body but an amazing lens and your pictures would still be awesome. 2) Rule of Thirds: For people who don't know about the rule of thirds, it's all about balancing a photograph. You'll notice that we are never usually centered in our photographs...we always stand to the right or to the left. It makes things more interesting and nice looking. We do center ourselves occasionally...it makes the photograph look more intense. 3) Lighting: SUPER SUPER SUPER IMPORTANT. The best lighting is either early in the morning or just before the sun goes down. If we take photos around mid-day, we stay in the shadows. Think about it. If the sun is shining directly down on you, it'll cast shadows on your face. We made that mistake in one of our earlier posts...Jenny's face was shadowed but her outfit was really bright. It just doesn't look good. 4) Editing: Editing photographs can make them look soooo much cooler than they actually are. It's true. The way you edit is very important too. Different photographers have different styles. Jenny's style is a little bit more HDR-ish with some VSCO to make it look a little grungy. Other photographers like bright pastels and lots of light. DON'T COPY EDITING STYLES. Make your own, it's way cooler. If you're starting up a blog or what not, stick to one editing style because then you'll be recognized more easily. (Jenny uses the program Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 btw) Ok guys! We hope this helped a little bit! Speaking of photographers, check out Jenny's cousin Mark. He's located near San Francisco and takes fantastic pics. He told us not to give him a shout out until his website was updated this coming Fall, but his work is AWESOME. CLICK HERE FOR MARK. If you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday, what would you have? Are you thankful for your life? Because you should be. You're here with a purpose and you should believe that. We love you guys. God bless. Click images below to get these looks! Whaddup guys!!! Today's post is exciting because after 2 years of keeping up with the clothing line, Jenny finally purchased a few items from Sabo Skirt. Unlike most girls, Jenny is extremely hesitant about online shopping because of size issues, crappy quality and all of that other stuff so this purchase was a little bit out of her comfort zone, but also very necessary. The company is based in Australia and they have some amazing stuff (affordable too), so CHECK THEM OUT (link in Jenny's outfit details). Pablo is wearing a black & navy combination that totally works because it is very deliberate. He loves that business casual look. It definitely makes you look top notch. Don't be afraid to send us an e-mail or comment. We hope you guys have an awesome day. God bless. Quick tip: If you're unsure about online shopping like Jenny (is that weird?), order something without a size like a purse, a hat, jewelry, etc. Those items are almost guaranteed to work out ok.
